OH MY GOD BINDI IRWIN WON A LOGIE!!!!

THAT IS SO CUTE!! AND WONDERFUL!! AND EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Oh, and she's so sweet accepting it, and she speaks so well. Oh good on her.

Finally the voters make a descision I agree with. I'm still rather annoyed that that girl from Home and Away got one over Magda Szubanski (who is looking lovely, by the way, and remains one of my favourite Australian performers), though damnit. An utter travesty. But a good way of demonstrating that the demographic of the voters hasn't changed at all since they opened the voting out from TV Week readers only. Also evident in the fact that Bondi Rescue won best factual program over Choir of Hard Knocks.

Erm, but I should admit, for all I rant about Home and Away as being the worst thing on Australian TV by far, with some of the stupidest story-lines and unspeakably bad acting that really could not be less deserving of awards or praise in any way, I may have fallen a bit in love with that Lincon Lewis lad. He won - what was it - best new male talent? He was all cheeky and adorable and funny and blond (which apparently works for me). I'm smitten. He's such a cutie. Nahorhorhohr.

Still never going to watch Home and Away though.

...Did I just post my thoughts on yaoi impressions of the Logies? Oh dear lord, please tell me I'm not turning into One of Those Women. I'm only half watching it, I swear. And I'm not even looking at the dresses. Really. I'm only here to yell about channel nine and to support the ABC and SBS. Plzdon'tjudgeme.

...Anton Innes has an earing? Dude, could there be a cooler news reader?

Anton Enis? Nope, there absolutely couldn't be. Although Lee Lin Chin has her moments.

Also I just heard that someone's trying to start up a Harry Potter society at uni. If you're interested, I'll forward you the email about it. I want to go to the startup meeting, but I can't since I've got a doctor's appointment an hour after the meeting time (1 pm Wednesday) and an essay due the day after.

Oh you and your knowing-how-to-spell-people's-names-properly. Lee Lin Chin is in a league of her own, her wonder defies catergory.

Oh cool! Sure, I'm interested - though my liking of HP lies more in critical analysis and fandom than the actual original texts, not sure that that's what a club would be about. But yeah, totally - email away, my girl. I'm guessing you're wanting to join if it gets up? I'm busy Wednesday at 1pm too, unfortunately, or I'd report back to you on it.

I have no clue what the club would be about, I just heard that there's going to be one. What's your email address? I don't want to give the email and name of someone I don't know out in a public post where they could be grabbed for spamming purposes.
