Have submitted the South Park essay. Took a little longer than planned because of sickness and stress, but I think it turned out okay. Again, over the word limit. Hopefully now will start waking up in the morning without "Uncle Fucka" in my head (for one thing, "Uncle Fucka" isn't even my favourite SP song. Although, Brain Boitano gets old after a while too).
I titled it "In War You're Shat Upon", and am only now realising that my lecturer might not get the connection with that. The word "fuck" featured five times. It's ridiculous how amused by this I am.
SO, am kicking around in Sydney until next Monday with nothing to do but an exam Friday morning, which I plan to stagger study for, leaving me with a nice relaxed week. I'm going to try to see a few movies, if anyone wants to join. Definitely Samson and Delilah, possibly My Year Without Sex and the new Transformers (because the first one was surprisingly good), or possibly something else entirely.
I'm sort of toying with the idea of going to Supernova. But... I don't know, the website isn't terribly helpful. What actually happens at these things? I do know there'll be geeky things to buy, and I do like buying things. Thoughts, anyone?

Date: 2009-06-23 01:40 am (UTC)Oh yes, and Laura (from Dylan Moran show) and I are going to see Star Trek on Friday night.
Also also: You had a South Park essay? AWESOME. *cackles*

Date: 2009-06-23 03:41 am (UTC)And re. Supernova: Okay, that does sound pretty awesome (especially the cosplay skits! SKITS!). I'm sold. Buying ticket now! (The timetable is up by the way, I found it last night - http://forum.supanova.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=4780)
I KNOW RIGHT. It was such a weird essay to write. I'm still kind of disapointed I couldn't find a way of making Satan flying around in a rainbow hang glider relevant, though.
Also, yay for you being finished! *dances with joy on your behalf*

Date: 2009-06-23 01:19 pm (UTC)On the other hand I am definitely up for watching Merlin if you want to do that instead.
I could make dinner, if you like, and then we could go see movie? I really feel like cooking something. How do you feel about pasta? I make good pasta-with-tomato-sauce-and-stuff, but I can't remember what veg you like/hate, and my 'stuff' is usually vegies.

Date: 2009-06-23 01:57 pm (UTC)Otherwise, 8:45 for Year Without Sex would be alright, and you know you're always welcome to cook! I love pasta, especially with tomato sauce, and am fine with most vegies so long as they're not huge and are mixed into a sauce of some kind.
I'm also totally okay with Merlin instead of a movie, though. I know you're not big on cinemas, and I'm not really desperate to see anything (not to mention that channel 10 has just about overtaken us - an outrage!). But then again, if you've been studying you're probably sick of the sight of your room by now! I'd be happy with either, really.
Ahh, I suck at making decisions!
Okay, plan:
- You come over around 5:30-6, cook, I subject you to the Richard Wilson episode of Father Ted/One Foot in the Grave while we wait/eat.
- 8:30, either to cinema, or start Merlins
- 10:30ish (if we go to movie), icecream
- ??:?? - profit.
Thoughts?
