Oh god. They're actually doing it.
The Simpsons are doing Heavenly Creatures.
Lonely, intelligent little girl (Lisa) forms obsessive friendship with new English girl, with many lesbian overtones, and they make up a fantasy world to escape the unfairness of life and assert their own brilliance. They've even named the new girl Juliet!
Now they just have to pick a parent to kill.
I am torn between surprise, mild horror, and absolute, mindshattering awe.
And, heh, Lenny and Carl just drove by a resturant with two girls sitting in the back seat. I love how they can always be interpreted as the ambigously gay duo/heterosexual life partners in some way.
ETA: AND OHMYGODOHMYGOD GINA RILEY IS ON SPICKS AND SPECKS! GINA RILEY!!! (Who, incidently, can really sing)
Okay, so, putting off Uni work a tad longer then.

Date: 2009-04-22 12:37 pm (UTC)...What's this TV thing of which you speak? I've worked out that I spent more time in the library in the past week than I spent asleep. On the plus side, all I have to do for my essay due tomorrow is add a bibliography entry, edit it, and conclude. I'M FINISHED BEFORE MIDNIGHT, CALL THE MEDIA.

Date: 2009-04-24 11:46 am (UTC)You and your mad finishing essays before midnight skillz! I got three hours sleep last night and was still in a mad flurry to get my essay finished today. And now I have another one to do this weekend OH JOY.
Hey, what say you when we're both finally done with the glee of forced insomnia and backaches from sitting in the same position for twelve or more straight hours, we watch the rest of Merlin (Or, if you've already watched it, I come steal it from you)? Dunno about you, but I could really go for some pretty and magic and adorable doofiness and pretty and Victor Meldrew right about now (well, sleeping for a few years now, but then with the pretty and magic and silly after).
