Nov. 12th, 2008 10:36 pmI think I have a new hobby:
Australian independent film runs!
The last one involved an expedition to Paddington (had never been there before, but am now a bit in love with it) to see Bitter and Twisted at the Chauvel, literally the only cinema in Sydney screening it. The movie was perfect, and the trip and crazed rushing to public transport was fun.
The next one will be to see Newcastle, which will probably be on at a Dendy.
I feel like such a responsible member of the film community, supporting local cinema. *preens*
(I'm not sure when I'll go, but if anyone wants to join they are quite welcome.)
Also, I HAVE A COGNITIVE PSYCHOLOGY EXAM TOMORROW OH GOD. I hatehatehate cognitive psych, and haven't studied enough because I had an essay to write at the same time.
Have I mentioned that essay before? Why no, I don't think I did. It was a major research essay, for Contemporary Hollywood.
I did it on Mulholland Drive.
Oh yes, 3654 words on MULHOLLAND DRIVE, of all things.
I don't even like Mulholland Drive. It's fun to analyse and all (why hello there, Herr Freud!), but it as massively unpleasant experience as well as being fecking creepy. Which, okay, was kind of the point, but still. I was going to do the Wes Anderson question. I love Wes Anderson. How on Earth did I get to Mulholland Drive?
Now: shower, and more study.
